Last night around 10:00 pm, when I get back home from the office, it’s too late for cooking and also INDIA SriLanka world cup match going on, I decided to order online for dinner. The first mistake I did, start checking emails. Unfortunately, there was a zomato advertisement email and I traped in it and open zomato app.
So I decided to order food from zomato.
As I love chines, I ordered :
- Egg Thukpa (gravy egg chow with more dilute sup in it)
- Caribbean Drumstick (deep dry chicken preparation)
Around 10:20 pm, I placed the order and waiting for the food. As usual, after some time I received a call from 033 7117 1009 (zomato routing number), zomato delivery boy called and said he is just in my location. But I didn’t find him from my balcony, as I am finding someone with big red zomato box in his bag. Then I found someone with a school bag in his back over the bike and talking with me on the phone. Instruct him to enter in our flat and I am getting down to unlock the main door. As soon as I am reached the door, an uttered came out from my mouth “Oh, my GOD, what you did with my food”. He apologizes and said “Sir, please adjust it, actually, it pressed out little in my bag”, I don’t understand what to say, I just said, “Man, this food is totally wastage”. As soon as I took the carry bag from him, he just runs away from our flat and vanished.
I get back to my flat and with no more expectation, I try to adjust my hunger with this damage food but when I open it (you can check it in my following pics) all dilute sup drain out in plastic carry bag, thukpa became boil chow (as without sup) and looks like someone put 2lts water in dry chicken drumstick. I really don’t know what to do. Now the main part begins …
I just called zomato to let them aware of my situation. First, the phone was ringing around half an hour (Why you will understand later). So I try to chat and send some LIVE pictures of my food (which you can check below) … chat was also not responding, as usual. After a long time, someone responded in the call, he identifies himself as customer service representative ‘BISHNU’, I told him all including the LIVE pics that I post in their chat. He starts a conversation call with the delivery boy, I get really astonished that the zomato delivery boy politely lies over the phone. The delivery boy said the food was intact, only a few (1 or 2) drops come out (you can see in following pics what the few drops are) and he also said he was carrying the big red zomato square bag which he put in his bike, outside our flat, that why I am not ably to see the big red zomato square bag (he don’t know that I already observed him from the balcony when he was standing in street and also no zomato or delivery boy left their bag or anything else outside if he enter any flat or building due to the thief). After listen all, Mr. Bishnu hung up the delivery boy’s, now Mr. Bishnu came to his original character, he becomes extremely rube and starts shouting on me as if why I called zomato and force him to pick up the phone from his AC office room sweet nap or from watching world cup match. At last, he directly told me that he will not be going to help me and if I need help, I have to email at zomato which will be replied in 48 to 72 working hours or not. But, not a single time he was worried about that I am hungry and I have to sleep empty stomach full night. That is what’s my experience with 3rd class zomato customer service and zomato delivery boy.
Now the question is :
- Do we, the victims, really trust zomato, when we are hungry (specially at midnight).
- Do we, the victims, have to take video of zomato delivery before take food from him.
- Do we, the victims, accept food if it is damage or not well enough to eat.
- Do we, the victims, call the zomato customer care after we are cheat from delivery boy.
- Can we, the victims, know how do we proof that we are VICTIMS ?
