If a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, could only connect to the Internet when plugged into a landline then that would be troublesome in this digital world. It Beside that it is also not acceptable that it takes five minutes to load a webpage. There two ways in which mobile devices can be connected to the internet namely,2G, 3G,4G, and WIFI. The G’s are usually provided by call towers similarly like the regular cell phones. Any place having a cell tower has access to provide broadband internet but if you want the internet to work well then you need to connect to WIFI.
What is the difference between G’s and WIFI?
G denotes to generation as 2G refers to the second generation. The generation shows the higher industry standards of speed, that implies an area with 3G service will always be faster than an area with 2G, but it will be slower than an area with 4G. Speed of the network also depends on the device being used, since older devices can’t use the full power of the internet of an area with higher coverage. Whereas a 3G phone will work in an area with 4G coverage, but it will only connect at 3G speeds. Similarly, a 4G phone will work in an area with 2G but only connect at 2G speeds.
Contrary, WiFi is a connection standard provided by a wireless network. A wireless network is a connection that is provided by any other device that connects into another Internet access, that could be a physical line but not any G’s. The device which is connected then translates its own Internet connection into a WiFi network that other devices can share. In this type of connection, the devices open access for other devices, essentially taking one for the team. They are small just like any other computer network and hence allow to connect up 30 devices. Sometimes, it may be private so you need to know a password to have access. At times it can be an open, public “hotspot,” which allows any device with WiFi capabilities to log in and access the internet.
Therefore, if you wish to access the internet without any hindrance on your mobile device then WIFI is the fastest source and better than 2G,3G or 4G connection. Nowadays WIFI connection is fairly common as most of the coffee shops, restaurants, and bookstores have free hotspots or they provide a password to paying customers. WiFi can be easily connected on any mobile device and the device can be used for accessing the internet on it. This will allow public access to not just the Internet but any device on the network, and it is only as fast as the 3G or 4G connection of the device creating the network so it is wise to use a WIFI network whenever you want to access the internet on the mobile device without much difficulty.
