Audra Csak, 27
Studio Manager and Senior Stylist, Sweet Woodruff
She says face cream, eyeliner and her husband’s hair clay are all such she uses as make-up. She takes just 5 minutes in the morning to decide what to wear. It depends on where my first meeting is scheduled. Usually, she chooses outfits that are approachable and somewhat quirky. Most importantly you should love its shape and textures.
Anne-Marie Mediwake, 43
News Anchor, CBC News
In her opinion people focus on what she says, rather than her outfit. At any cost, it needs to be neat and simple, with conservative hemlines and necklines. She prefers a bold dress and a single-tone necklace. If she chooses a strong necklace, then wear a subdued dress colour and rest simple and sentimental.
Julie Clark, 32
Owner/Founder, Province Apothecary
According to her make-up to work means simply a moisturizer and lip balm. Previously, she was a stylist and costume designer in NYC, and at that time she used to plan the outfits. Now, she feels like a wardrobe has devolved and has become extremely simple and practical.
Anissa Moeini, 30
VP Business Development, GL | Group of Gold Line
Her uniform is a blazer and blouse, and pants with riding boots or kitten heels. At the time she wears a work dress, which is a one-item outfit and adds a scarf on top to add a pop of colour. A simple black liner and mascara, and some bronzer and blush with nude lipstick are for makeup.
Dr Vivien Brown
MD and VP Medical Affairs, Medisys Health Group
According to her, a very classic and sophisticated dress along with a strand of pearls, booties or black patent heels is a power outfit. She would never wear to work anything low cut, too tight, night-time.
Jillian Vanstone, 35
Principal Dancer, National Ballet of Canada
Her working uniform is a bodysuit, pink tights, and a dance skirt. Sometimes she prefers to leg warmers and a sweater in winter and also when she needs to warm up for the day and also between rehearsals. It depends on her rehearsals and with whom she is rehearsing what she is going to wear for the day.
Yuxi Chen, 25
She tries to minimize the amount of time she spends getting ready in the morning. The go-to look for her is just foundation, powder, blush, brow pencil, and lip balm. Often, she wears glasses, so she has nicely shaped brows to frame her face and look more put together. Besides that, she ensures that she always has manicured nails with nude or red nail polish.
Sophie Hackett, 44
Associate Curator, Photography
Typically, she wears a suit jacket or blazer and jeans. Often, she keeps a scarf handy. Tough navy is very much in the mix nowadays she doesn’t prefer any colour palette. In addition, she is drawn to textures and patterns. Footwear is always simple and comfortable for her.
Anjali Patel, 31
Fashion lawyer, Blue Chip Fashion
According to her, there are lots of changes that came in her wardrobe. The biggest challenge she faced was that she realized that most pants fit her off-the-rack, and at the end of a long day, she finds them very uncomfortable. She also realised that a dress looks better and serves as a complete, fool-proof outfit.
Julie Hamulecki, 35
Fashion and beauty producer, The Social
Her uniform is skinny jeans, a boxy top and a leather jacket. When it comes to footwear, she favours black ankle boots. For her, a go-to beauty look is a natural look with a strong lip. In a presentation or meeting, she prefers to wear chic turtleneck, pencil or pleated skirts which go well with a great pair of heels.
Celina Costa, 43

The night before leaving for work, she checks the weather and plans her outfit, accessories, purse and jewellery. Then lay out all of the items and, in the morning, get dressed, mindlessly and quickly!
